Where to Order Meat Online

The demand for ordering and delivering meat online is becoming ever more popular. Is that a surprise? People are more health-conscious than ever and want to get their daily protein requirements in, whilst spending as little effort as possible.

Having fresh, butchers meat delivered to your door at a click of a button may sound a little bit touch-and-go; that is far from reality. We always prioritise the customer experience. From the minute we get your order to the point where you’re washing up an empty plate, we want you to feel satisfied with our service and produce.

We always ensure the same amount of care and attention is given to your order as if you were standing in front of us. The process of handling your order is near enough identical!

Why We Started Our Home Delivery Service

We started our delivery service during the dreaded lockdown, with the aim of getting people high-quality cuts of meat without having to come in close contact with anybody. The response to this surprised even us!

People loved it! Which is the reason we still offer the service today. Customers living in more rural areas didn’t have access to a quality butcher. Others simply were unsatisfied with what their local butchers or supermarket had to offer and therefore relied on delivery butchers.

Pros of Ordering Meat Online

One of the major pros is that you have a much wider range of choice and you’re not limited geographically. In other words, you can find higher-quality butchers and choose from the best of the best.

Secondly, you can shop around and find the best value for money much more easily online than in person. Many people like to compare prices and whilst we aren’t necessarily the same as supermarkets, our customers know that they ultimately get better value for money.

It’s also much more convenient having the meat delivered to your door rather than going out and purchasing your favourite cut.

Cons of Ordering Meat Online

It can occasionally be more expensive than buying in-store. Some places, like here at Burts Catering Butchers, we have introduced a minimum order value to cover additional costs associated with delivering our butchers meat.

The only downside that we can think of is that you can’t ask the butcher about the best cuts of the day, or how to prepare a cut. But we like to think that once you have ordered meat from us, that you will know that you don’t need to worry about best cuts as they are all really good quality.

Here at Burts Catering Butchers, we’re always more than happy to offer recommendations and assist you in any way possible. You only have to read our blog, for lots of tips and advice. However, if you have any questions, please do feel free to get in touch here.

What Our Home Delivery Service Offers

All of our beef and pork is 100% British and traceable using our farm-to-fork service. Which you can read more about here. We only source beef that is from the finest herds, that are kept to the highest welfare standards.

All of our chicken and lamb is also 100% British and bred to the highest of standards. The chicken is naturally firm and tender with no added water or GM products. The lamb is reared outdoors and grass-fed. We also mature our lamb for a minimum of 10 days, as this ensures great taste and tenderness.

Sadly we only currently deliver to customers in our local area, although if you are a business and use us as a catering butcher then we cover the south east of England.
