The process

Our 450m2 state-of-the-art processing facility in East Sussex exceeds current health and hygiene laws and gives our customers peace of mind that all their produce is handled and processed properly. At each stage of the process, from arriving at our door to being delivered to yours, we take care to keep your produce in the very best condition.

1. The Intake

Deliveries arrive daily from our suppliers. All the deliveries have random checks for the correct temperature and cleanliness of vehicles.

2. Storage

Products are stored in dedicated chillers, for separation purposes. Meat that’s set for dry ageing is stored for up to 45 days. This process is paramount in our business.

3. Ordering

If we receive an order by 4 am it’s guaranteed to be delivered the same day. We can arrange a sales call schedule with you to make sure your order’s placed on time.

4. Picking and cutting

Your order is prepared to your specification to guarantee freshness and quality. To reduce the chance of a mistake, your order will be allocated to one of our skilled butchers to pick and cut. When they’re done they stamp their name on the box, so we know who prepared it.

5. Packaging

Our dedicated packaging area is designed to make the handling process as efficient as possible, so we can deal with your orders quickly.

6. Labelling

Our labels are placed on the outside of the boxes, or on multiple-item deliveries on individual products, and contain all the information you need for storage

7. Storage for dispatch

Completed orders are stored in dedicated chillers ready for dispatch by our own fleet of vehicles.

8. Delivery

Completed orders are loaded into our temperature-controlled vehicles, ready to travel around the South East to our loyal network of customers.
