All About our Premises at Burts Catering Butchers

Ever since Burts was founded in 1981, we have been striving towards high-quality service and improving our production techniques to deliver the very best service to our customers. The Burts Catering Butchers premises have always been to the highest standard of quality and hygiene.

We started out in a small shop in Bexhill; and over the years we have needed to expand our premises to make sure that we can keep up with providing meat produce to a large number of restaurants in Sussex, Kent, and Surrey.

Our current premises is a 450m2 state-of-the-art processing facility. Here, we are able to work to the highest hygiene and food safety standards. We are proud to have some of the most up-to-date and advanced meat preparation facilities in the whole of the south of England.

About the Burts Catering Butchers Premises

In our specialist premises in Bexhill, East Sussex, we have dedicated meat preparation areas for red, white, and game meat. Ensuring we comply with all food hygiene safety standards and laws. We are also FSA approved (number UK2541 EC).

At the premises, our staff all ensure that the meat is of the highest quality. We make sure that all meat is stored at the correct temperature conditions at all times. Our delivery process also operates under strict quality parameters.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

As our premises was purpose-built; we were also able to ensure that it was built to be as energy-efficient as possible. This means that we are able to keep our carbon footprint as small as we can. Our premises include solar panels to collect energy, as well as time-controlled lights and energy-efficient bulbs to make sure that no energy is wasted on lighting.

All of our sinks are also knee-operated, which helps to reduce water use during the preparation process.
