Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art premises are some of the most up-to-date and advanced in the whole of the south of England.
Our cutting facility has dedicated areas for red, white and game meat and our FSA approval (number UK2541 EC) means we’re kept up to date about – and comply with – all changes in the law.
Throughout the premises we operate strict controls for temperature, quality and storage. From the moment our deliveries arrive, they’re monitored under strict parameters. From intake through storage, processing, packaging and delivery, we use fixed-calibrated data loggers on all temperature controlled areas. This means we can quickly see if an area has changed in temperature from the guidelines that are set.
Where possible, our factory has been built to be energy efficient and reduce Burt’s carbon footprint. We’ve installed solar panels, time-controlled lights, knee-operated sinks for minimal extra water use and energy-efficient lighting in all areas, including the offices.
