Established in 1981 with a focus on high quality and service, Burts has expanded steadily year-on-year ever since.

We’re now one of the South Coast’s leading catering butchers and believe this is a testament to our original philosophy; our dedication to providing the best quality produce and the customer service to match has always been at the heart of the business right from the start.

Starting out in a small shop in Bexhill in East Sussex, we now work from a 450m2 state-of-the-art processing facility in East Sussex that exceeds current health and hygiene laws and gives our customers peace of mind that all their produce is handled and processed properly.

Who Do We Work With?

At Burts Catering Butchers we work with a whole range of clients. These include a variety of restaurants, brasseries, hotels and schools within the local area. We also provide produce to many event venues and outside caterers as well, all who buy our meat due to its high quality and superb taste. Finally, we also supply to the public with our home delivery service, allowing anyone from the local area to have access to our excellent produce. 

We only employ highly-trained, skilled butchers who are not only experienced but trained to the exacting in-house standards set out by our management team.

Following our founding principles, everyone at Burts is considered more than just a part of the team – they’re part of the family.
